We carry a comprehensive stock range of chain for use in farming and agriculture food production. Our areas of expertise include bulk handling food stuffs and grains using scraper chains, fully assembled in our UK factory and ready to install. We also have experience supplying baler & spreader chains and combine harvester kits. If your animal feed business needs a flexible and reliable partner to help move produce around your production system, we can help.
From designing new solutions to helping maintain kit already in service, our mind-set is always to apply our knowledge and our stock capability to provide these businesses with a level of service that they can rely upon, when you need it most. We know you need your machinery to work whenever it’s needed, often at a moments notice especially when harvesting and our stock levels, held in Cheshire in the UK, mean that if you suffer a breakdown or need a quick response to a maintenance issue, our teams are primed and ready to assist. With same day dispatch available we can minimise your down-time and keep your business moving within 24hrs of a reported issue – that’s the kind of service that has won us so many plaudits in the agricultural community.
Our business is based deep in Cheshire farmland, and we consider farming and agriculture very close to the core values of our business. Our family are all involved in our business and we maintain a can-do attitude to ensure that the ‘our work’ is not done until all of ‘the work’ is all done. Our team regularly visit agricultural businesses to better understand how our chains are performing in service and we build this knowledge into our engineering when designing conveyor solutions with production architects and manufacturers of farm machinery. Whether used in the field (quite literally), the factories or even in farms submerged beneath the North Sea, our chains are designed to perform in all weathers and conditions.
All of our agricultural chains feature solid rollers and heat treated components for the best durability and performance. Due to the high speed nature of agriculture equipment chains, we recommend using product that is specifically made for high speed applications. The pins of this chain are specifically case hardened along with heat-treated bushings, rollers, and side-plates. to eliminate stretch or resizing once in use all our chains are pre-stretched at the factory which results in substantially less wear on the components and a longer chain life.
